Preparation Guide

๐Ÿ›๏ธ How to Prepare for the Games

Help your young athletes get ready for an unforgettable day of ancient Greek games and celebration!

๐Ÿšฉ Prepare for the Parade of Heroes

Every athlete is invited to arrive ready to represent their chosen City-State in our opening procession.

Create a simple child-designed flag or banner:

๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ› Owls ๐ŸŒฟ Olive branches ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Shields ๐ŸŒŠ Waves โ˜€๏ธ Suns ๐Ÿ… Laurel wreaths ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Greek letters

๐Ÿ‘• Attire of the Games

Wear best simple Olympian attire. Our favorite tradition is a pillowcase tunic worn over athletic clothing, decorated with one small symbol of their City-State.

Suggested decorations:

๐ŸŒฟ Olive branch ๐Ÿ… Laurel wreath ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ› Owl ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Shield โ˜€๏ธ Sun

Keep it simple, child-made, and ceremonial. Athletic shoes recommended!

๐Ÿ“œ Poetry & Art

In the spirit of Ancient Greece, athletes are invited to bring a short original poem or Greek-inspired artwork to display in our Cultural Gallery throughout the festival.

Ideas for inspiration:

โœ๏ธ Original poems ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Greek mythology ๐ŸŒฟ Nature themes ๐Ÿ… City-State symbols

๐ŸŒธ Enter in the Spirit of the Games

We invite every athlete to arrive prepared not only in body, but in spirit: ready for courage, beauty in movement, noble sportsmanship, and flourishing together.

๐Ÿ’ช Courage โœจ Beauty ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Sportsmanship ๐ŸŒฑ Community

Every athlete will be celebrated! All participants will receive recognition during our awards ceremony.
